Paola Marciò
legal consultant
Graduated in Law at “Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore” of Milan, I passed the bar exam in 2001 and moved to the United States for a legal internship soon after. Back in Italy, I worked in the IP law departments of two renowned law firms in Milan and here, in 2004, I set up my own firm together with a colleague. At the same time I started working as a legal consultant for the company ING. MARI & C. s.r.l. in Cremona. To the professional experience gained in the civil law area I then added specific skills acquired in the field of IP rights both as a consultant to companies and innovative start-up and to private individuals (inventors, creatives and freelancers).
It is precisely the needs of this varied clientele that have led me in recent years to acquire specific skills in new technologies (NFT, blockchain and smart legal contracts, coding for lawyers, legal tech and legal design) in order to be able to better handle the important consequences and implications that this evolution has had and will have in an increasingly impactful way not only in the specific context of IP rights but also in our legal profession.
I deal with consultancy on services related to the registration, validity and protection of IP rights and, more generally, their judicial and extrajudicial protection, contract law, new technologies, and the strategic valorisation of intangible assets.
